Explore the Colorado River at your own pace as part of Forklift Danceworks The Way of Water — Colorado River.

Complete just one mission or them all… it’s up to you. Those who dive deepest and attendance
Confluence are in the running for a prize package.

  1. Open the App Store or Google Play and search “Goosechase”.

  2. Download the free app — it’s got an orange logo.

  3. Open it and tap “Continue as Guest.” No account is needed, though you can log in if you’ve got one.

  4. Search “Currents” or enter the code EFCMG4 (case sensitive).

  5. When the hunt preview appears, tap “Let’s Go!”

  6. Accept the terms and tap “Get Started.”

  7. Click “Create new.”

  8. Choose “Flying Solo” (individual) or “Part of a Flock” (team).

  9. Enter your display name, then tap “Done.”

  10. When prompted, allow notifications.

  11. If entering before we start, you’ll see a “patient goose” screen — you’re all set! Once the hunt is live on Saturday, Oct. 18th, you’ll land directly on the missions list, and can jump in!

COMPLETE MISSIONS

To earn points, complete “Missions” from the list. These include photos, videos, checking in at specific locations, or answering prompts. You can tell them apart by the colored icons. The clue language will help guide you further!

Photos & videos can be caught live or pulled from your reel, text based responses can range from specific to open ended, and GPS operates against your phone’s geolocation.

CHECK OUT YOUR COMPETITION

Scope out your friendly foes through the leaderboard. It updates live with each mission completion, so you can check your ranking anytime.

SEE & CELEBRATE THE ACTION

Throughout the experience, scroll through the activity feed to see public submissions, toss out some like, and connect with other participants. Celebrate the missions you’ve already achieved… or perhaps get a preview of what’s yet to come!

FAQs

  • No, it is NOT a race! Rather, an invitation to slow down with the Colorado River as your guide.

    Do just one, some, or all of the missions at your own pace… anytime between Oct 18th and Nov 8th. It’s totally up to you!

  • The first batch of missions release at 11:00 am on Saturday October 18th, coinciding with the start of The Way of Water — Colorado River Part 1: Source at Laguna Gloria…. but you can join any time onward! More missions will release at approximately three other times between the launch on October 18th and the finale on November 8th. Notifications will be sent via the Goosechase app with each release.

  • Yes, join NOW and anytime before November 8th! You did not need to be present at Part I: Source in order to participate.

  • When joining “Currents” in the Goosechase app, follow the instructions above. When it lands on “Find your flock”, instead of “Create new,” scroll through the existing teams, and select the known team you want to join. Follow the prompts from there, entering your team’s passcode. The person who created the team should know it, but if you’re stuck, use the email below to contact us and we can bridge the gap!

  • The Goosechase app and participation in the hunt are free! On occasion, a mission may include a cost, such as transport to/from a location or a ticket purchase, but these expenses and participation in these missions are not required.

  • The hunt will close down on November 8th, 2025 at 10:00 pm CST, coinciding with the wrap up of the final performance of The Way of Water — Colorado River Part III: Confluence at Hornsby Bend.

  • Participate in the hunt to any degree AND then complete a final “GPS” mission by being present at one of the three final culminating Confluence performances at Hornsby Bend on November 6th, 7th, or 8th for the chance to win a prize package.
